Too obvious 😂

This is legitimately one of the best books on this platform, i'll just give it 2 stars on world background because i'm an African and i think it's a missed opportunity to have not done anything with the existing African empires. I'm not going to complain about the R-word i get it, but the least you could've done on an alt history novel is read a little when i read lines about Africans not being civilized i was in shock. I mean, imagine what direction the story could've taken if you remembered that Ethiopia has been in contact with Europe for a long while. Well, what do i know???

This book would've been perfect if not for the power level getting out of hand. The ideas the author is trying to communicate about leadership and Justice fall flat because of how far up the power system goes. In my opinion the ranks should have stayed below saint rank. My reason for this is because everytime a character does something to abuse the rights of the lesser powerful people there is a conflict about responsibility of leaders but then again these are people who have near godlike powers, why would they care? Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Most of the high society people would be better of fighting each other on a post apocalyptic world destroyed by their powers than trying to argue about why if the powerless weak had a riot it would be a problem. no, it won't. How many times have you been bothered about ants? (funny because ants actually sting more than the ordinary people in this story). But besides the ever escalating power problem. This has been one of my best reads of all time. It's sad to see where the story is headed but I hope it still ends well. After all the whole justice thing is just one of the many great things about the story.

I'm holding back on my review for now because of the length of this story but believe me this is a must read. The world background is recognizable but seems to hold secrets of it's own that the MC is too busy surviving to explore, but that is even more reason to stick with this book. it's not even my genre of choice yet I'm here. it's a brilliant take on the now iconic system trope that instead of focusing on how the main character gets powerful or has to survive unreasonably evil people thrives on conflict around simply trying to get by everyday while being stranded in a desolate environment.

The setting of this story is one of the best I've personally experienced because of how it handles the moral compass of the main character. I love how it creates keeps you invested in "what next?" the protagonist is going to do in the hellish dark world rather than spend time trying to pretend the readers actually are worried that the main character might get injured. I'm only not going to give it the 5.0 it deserves because I want to see where it goes especially with the power level of the main character. I fear that the author might make the power level too high and it might change the flow of story. Updating stability is good enough but I just want this to hurt the author because of how the cliff hangers do me. Character design is simple and easy to recognize...damn. The world is a better place because this story exists.
