narrowed her eyes*
I'm 60 chapters in and so far the MC is now 40+ years old mentally but still acts some edgy little teenager with intense paranoia. I get he had a rough childhood in his previous life and the end of his life was tragic but he really just does not seem to want to grow as a person. He still clings to the belief that trusting people is somehow weak and constantly belittles everyone around him. Whenever the slightest inconvenience strikes he immediately bemoans his fate and cries about how unfair everything is. I really hope I don't have to read thousands of chapters to see any meaningful character development. I really enjoy what tiny bit of the world building we've been drip fed and pretty much every character around the MC is well written. Hopefully things improve and I won't have to drop this.
I can't tell if the author actually believes this or not but there are good people in the world. not everyone is out to use you or kill you like this web novel seems to constantly insinuate
wouldn't that be tactless not tactful?
starts off ok before just becoming this jumbled mess of psychotic characters trying so hard to be super edgy while also trying to be normal. the world building is very shallow and the story seems really confused about where it wants to go. the worst part is the constant "we don't follow human morals" bit that gets shoved down your throat until you realize that's a lie and they do. the only time they don't is when one of the MCs wants to be some murder hobo and they need to explain away why the other MCs suddenly don't care
I can't anymore, all these characters just randomly change for no reason. there is no consistency to their morals, character, or emotions. it's like everyone has 12 personalities and they just randomly flip flop around. I enjoy the premise of the story at first then it just became an edgelord contest with the MC trying so hard to be some chad dudebro alpha. then all the constant hypocrisy in how they act was just infuriating especially about their "totally not human morals"
how dare you call me gay, my fragile masculinity can't handle such a vicious attack
vampire queen just not exist now?
so she can't think for herself anymore and come to the same conclusion?
he went through nothing. the MC has had everything handed to him so far and the most adversity he has had to face was sorta the first dungeon part.
what a useless existence she was during these chapters
sure, what ever you need to tell yourself
