Kakashi was compared to Minato and Itachi but he didn't reach his full potential due to the emotional problems and while the sharingan also caused him Chakra problems it helped him more than it harmed him. The peak Kakashi was I think when he had both sharingan and constructed the susano but if he lived upto his full potential then he could have atleast fought with pain and even defeat some of his avatars rather than dying in rubble.
Kakashi, unfortunately, has been lagging behind. Still, even he can be considered as a rank S ninja. At the very least, he should be able to fight against Rasa. Considering how troublesome his students are and what troubles they will attract, they might just inspire him to train a bit more seriously. - Zeenon15dCommented

Well he is already an enemy of all 5 hidden villages whether they know or not so it won't matter if he does something else that would earn their ire.
If I somehow master it, then this identity will have Peak Rank S battle strength without having to use the Flying Thunder God jutsu. That said, replicating the Lightning Chakra Mode is easier said than done… Maybe I should infiltrate Kumogakure someday to steal information on how to master the Lightning Chakra Mode…'
