Before transitioning into the One Piece World, while watching One Piece, Brontes, as a viewer, found himself somewhat drawn to pirates, especially figures like Luffy, Shanks, and Roger.

Initially, there seemed to be nothing inherently wrong with being a pirate, particularly seeing how Luffy and others pursued their dreams with such passion.

As the plot unfolded, Brontes began to see a different side to the One Piece World.

Looking back at the initial marine characters introduced in the East Blue, aside from Smoker, how many truly good individuals were among them?

Ax-Arm Morgan, Marine Captain Nezumi, and the overweight commander Nelson Royale from the 8th branch in East Blue further tarnished the image of the marines.

While Brontes initially admired pirates for their pursuit of dreams, the reality of true pirates – as Kaido mentioned – that they were playing game pirates, and they weren't true pirates soon came to light.

Observing characters like Buggy, Krieg, and Arlong made it evident that the world was far more chaotic than initially perceived. The absence of the Marine would result in a world engulfed in sin.

Sakazuki's deep-seated animosity towards pirates wasn't baseless, but his extreme actions bordered on the pathological.

For instance, during the Ohara incident, Brontes couldn't condone the indiscriminate violence against civilians.

Even if scholars were present on that ship, the mindset to kill rather than spare them was not an act of justice but rather an act of extreme violence.

The Marine couldn't monitor all its members constantly, leading to instances of defection.

Every year, some marines succumbed to the allure of the broader world, opting to betray the Marine and join the ranks of pirates or the Underworld.

While Marineford was aware of these occurrences, they had to defer such matters to the World Government for resolution.

This necessity led to the establishment of World Government inspectors within Marineford, a discreet department tasked with monitoring the Marine clandestinely. Publicly, internal Marine issues were managed by this department.

Similar to how there are marines who uphold justice, there exist pirates who embrace evil.

Whether one aligns with the pirates or the marines, pirates are ultimately viewed as the bane of the world, as Sengoku said - a collection of sea scum devoid of the ability to create, solely focused on looting the hard-earned wealth of others.

If not for the restraint imposed by the Five Elders over the years, Brontes would have taken his crew to the seas to combat these pirates daily.

Initially, Brontes wholeheartedly supported Sakazuki's direct actions against pirates; their relationship was even more robust than his connection with Borsalino, forged through battles side by side.

However, as Sakazuki's demeanor shifted towards extremism, consistently disregarding Brontes's advices, Brontes reached his limit and confronted him during the Ohara incident.

Regrettably, Sakazuki had delved too deep into this path, making it nearly impossible for him to reverse course.

...

Returning to the unfolding events at the G-1 Base, the battles raged on.

Sakazuki endeavored to safeguard the base from Kaido's onslaught, but with Kaido's devastating might and Sakazuki's Magma-Magma Fruit powers, the base was headed for a catastrophic clash.

Sakazuki unleashed his full power and engaged Kaido directly.

Vice-Admirals from various bases swiftly joined the fray, including Momonga, Onigumo, and Doberman, who, upon learning of Kaido's assault on the G-1 Base, received the green light from Marineford and raced to the scene.

However, shortly after their departure, the Vice-Admirals received orders from Marineford to return to their original positions, deeming their assistance no longer required.

Momonga was stunned by this abrupt command, reached out via Den Den Mushi: "Has Kaido retreated?"

"Not exactly, sir. Fleet-Admiral Ragnarok is on his way to the G-1 Base, poised to arrive before you. Fleet-Admiral Sengoku has instructed the cancellation of your deployment!" Conveyed the Marineford staff responsible for communication.

"Brontes is heading to the G-1 Base? Understood. If he's on his way, our presence is indeed unnecessary." Momonga affirmed, displaying unwavering confidence in Brontes.

With Brontes present, he knew everything would be handled efficiently.

Consequently, Momonga directed the warships to reverse course, mirroring the actions of the other Vice-Admirals upon receiving the same directive.

As news of Brontes's involvement reached them, each Vice-Admiral opted to return to their designated posts.

...

Back to the ongoing clashes within the G-1 Base, Kaido eagerly awaited Brontes.

Sakazuki, facing Kaido's open challenge, perceived it as a direct affront, an insult he could not abide.

In response, Sakazuki intensified his assaults, prompting Kaido to relish the confrontation with him, despite originally seeking Brontes.

The fierce battle between the two combatants was too intense for onlookers to interfere, leaving the marine Vice-Admirals to watch from the sidelines.

Utilizing rifles and cannons, the marines attempted to hinder Kaido but could only cause minor disruptions.

"You are no match for Brontes, Akainu. You pale in comparison." Taunted Kaido as he shattered Akainu's form with his naginata.

Upon reappearing, Sakazuki's expression darkened with rage. The comparison to Brontes, who had overshadowed him for decades, stoked a deep-seated resentment within him; he refused to be seen as inferior to Brontes any longer.

"Hound Crimson Lotus!"

The scene erupted in a resounding explosion.

The devastating power of magma in nature was widely acknowledged, yet Sakazuki's relentless assault barely fazed Kaido.

Instead, it posed a grave threat to the nearby marine troops due to the scorching temperatures and splattering magma, presenting unbearable challenges to withstand.

Despite the vigilance of the Vice-Admirals safeguarding the area, their primary focus was on preserving the main base from decimation.

In the midst of the chaos, magma surged toward Kaido akin to a tidal wave. While the extreme heat caused Kaido's body to sizzle, the magma's descent left him unscathed.

"Your magma merely assists in cleansing the grime off my skin; it resembles my bathwater's temperature." Kaido sneered at Sakazuki.

"Boom!"

Without delay, Sakazuki appeared behind Kaido, delivering a Haki-clad punch to his back, propelling him away.

"Whoosh!"

"ZliZli!"

Swiftly responding, Kaido charged forward, surging black lightning from his form as he fiercely struck Akainu with his naginata.

"Boom!"

In a swift and violent exchange, Sakazuki's form shattered like glass under Kaido's assault.

Brandishing his magma-covered naginata, Kaido awaited Sakazuki's reappearance.

"Hound Crimson Lotus!"

Rallying his strength, Sakazuki summoned a pack of fiery magma hounds that charged at Kaido, attacking his body from all directions.

"It's useless."

"Boom!"

Uttering a swift dismissal, Kaido effortlessly disintegrated the magma hounds with a flick of his hand, turning them into molten remnants that scattered afar.

"Boom!"

Without giving Sakazuki a respite, Kaido swiftly engaged him in a relentless assault, foiling Sakazuki's attempts to retaliate through a series of lightning-fast strikes with his naginata.

"Searing Hound!"

Demonstrating his masterful technique, Sakazuki transformed into a fiery mass hurtling toward Kaido, delivering a fiery blow to his Kaido's face.

"Boom! Hiss!"

Regrettably, Sakazuki's punch failed to breach Kaido's defenses, leaving behind a clump of magma on Kaido's countenance.

"Crack!"

Seizing Sakazuki's arm swiftly, Kaido flung him to the ground.

"Bang! Splat!"

Colliding with the ground, Sakazuki's form erupted in magma. However, crimson tendrils of magma surged up Kaido's arm, and Sakazuki's figure regenerated.

This time, a magma-coated fist thrust through Kaido's chest.

"Boom!"

A fiery explosion burst forth from Kaido's chest, singeing his flesh and wafting the scent of burnt flesh into the air.

"Bang!"

Before Sakazuki could respond, Kaido delivered a resounding slap, launching him skyward.

Following several tumultuous somersaults on the ground, Sakazuki staggered upright, blood trickling from his lips, while Kaido's chest still blazed with magma.

As smoke billowed from Kaido's chest, emanating from the searing magma within, a testament to its destructive potential within his body.

"Damn basterd! Huff!"

Kaido's visage contorted, transforming into a grotesque dragon head that unleashed a dark substance from his mouth.

Simultaneously, Kaido metamorphosed into a dragon form, swiftly mending the wounds inflicted by Sakazuki on his chest. In a blink, Kaido reverted to his original state, sneering at Sakazuki's failed attempts.

"Is this the best you can do? How disappointing." Kaido taunted, adding insult to injury.

"I am not finished yet, I..."

"ZliZli! Rumble!"

Before Sakazuki could complete his sentence, a lightning bolt descended from the heavens, materializing between him and Kaido, gradually revealing a figure.

"I've heard you were looking for me, Kaido."
