Personally I really hate stories like this where the MC acts like an extra but is OP stories similar to this would be Eminence in shadow, if you’re wanting to read this novel but hate those type of stories this isn’t for you since I feel like from time to time the MC let’s people step on them because they are not trying to attract ‘attention’.

Yeah you’re on point on this one and hence why i always hated it, hiding your true power I just basically a way for authors to get ‘Faceslapping’ scenes which we all love, but at times it gets really dumb since if he doesn’t hide his power it’s less likely that someone will pick on him coz they know he’s powerful.
