No, first off he was an orphan when taken in and the whole organisation raised him for 37 years, there is a thing called brainwashing you know. Whole his life everything that had been shown or fed to him was carefully considered by the organisation to not allow him to expect betray, and the last off the least that ge was prepared for was the betrayal to happen even before he quit and that too by his handler and best friend

The strength of the blindfold to restrict the sight, is proportional to the mana inputted by the user in the skill.
