Again it wouldn't really make sense if Akainu was weaker than Kaido. Where would the struggle be? Each villain has been stronger than the previous it's common sense.

His devil fruit was stated to be the most powerful devil fruit offensively. As well him beating Kuzan who before was stated to be the strongest Marine. Then you have Statements like Kizaru saying he would pull up on Big Mom and Kaido by himself and sounded confident. Akainu would be stronger than him. He Punched off half off WhiteBeard's head and made a whole in his chest. as well as he tanked multiple attacks from him. He's most likely the strongest Marine due to him beating Kuzan who was already stated to be the strongest Marine. He's Yonko level bro.
