She witnessed the despair of the refugees back in Livadon, stricken by loss, poverty and various diseases. She met with ghouls and other terrifying monstres on her way to Ethylene, saw battles and corpses. Did you all forget she was part of the medical rear unit, tending to the wounded, some of them so badly that they finally en-dessous dead. She was there when Éthylène allmost fell to the monstrers, was’nt it for her sacrifice. She knows very well about what kind of horrors war can bring. On thé contrats, shés been appointed head of her mages unit because she knows better. She does not need to be protected against it. What’s shocking her in the present scene is the barbaric treatment given to those deserters. Because it is barbarc. War or not. It’s adorable from Riftan for being so eager to protect her. But she does Not need protection. She needs collaboration. She need to be considered as an asset, not as a dead Wright

Better Kuahel than Eliott to meet such an endeavior. At least, Kuahel knows magic and is able to heal. Moreover, he is another Wigrew incarnation, like Ritftan. Despite beign terribly snuck up, hé is the best option for this mess to end up successfuly. The question is, will Maxi dare to use her Golem rune to help them / save them both when they enter the monster city, while being witnessed by the guy? No doubt the passageway leads there. And there’s no way such a useful tool in such a grave situation was created / mentionned for the sole purpose of helping Maxi to accept her mission to evade Nornui. There must be another goal to it
