I'm pretty sure vomiting is also a survival mechanism in this instance. The body gets rid of excess weight by vomiting so that you can run faster and escape from danger. So even if you don't particularly care for the person that's dead, you'd probably vomit because of a sense of danger.

Koffing, especially, can be resourceful. Whether it is releasing Black smoke to confuse the enemy or a suicidal attack at a critical moment, Koffing is a very useful Pokémon to have. I understood this principle the most because I already have prior knowledge about it. It was easier to understand for me than for my fellow students. Another hurdle was finding your own desired language and writing style. Tbf the whole Kaguya being a human who ate the chakra fruit thing was already Canon in a flashback. author just basically retconned it. Naruto in general has so many plot holes that fanfics have to fill it in themselves
