My theory is in the end Sunny will fight Nephis. I think Nephis wants to destroy the Spell at all costs. If Earth does indeed become uninhabitable and everyone needs to relocate to the Dream Realm, Sunny wont let her destroy the Spell if it means the death of everyone.
Belle is a guy
This description gave me an absurd idea. What if the nightmares don't take place in the past, but in the distant future? What if the spell and the nightmare creatures all went back to the past through that river? What if Sunny really is Weaver (especially considering his Mongrel persona which uses Weavers mask and the fact that nobody knows if he is male of female, which is consistent with what we know if Weaver).
I wonder if the fact that the first 4 victims were all of different professions is relevant. If it is a scavenger that gains the skills of the creatures it kills, maybe it is trying to understand the organization of the settlement and try to take everyone down using the knowledge it gains from eating the people who vanished.
I think the monsters were created by corruption and come from the 7th god, the forgotten one (the one Nephys's skeleton guide sang about while rowing the boat while she was trying to find a way back to reality)
I was thiking the same. I really hope Sunny wont lose his team members because of that stupid selfish clan war.
Happy Birthday G3! Thank you for the wonderful novel you have gifted us with. Shadow slave is one of my favorite novels ever and I love waiting until evening (my time) and read the new chapters. Although sometimes (most times) I find it very hard to wait until the new chapters are posted.
I'm 40 and I really love this novel. I actually have the complete opposite views from you when it comes to Shadow Slave. The lore is awesome, the ideas are original and I cannot wait to unravel the mysteries of the Dream Realm. Maybe thus is just not the novel for you. I am sure there are tons of books to your liking. Hopefully you wont try to show off your superiority and age/experience when writing a review for the next novel you will read. Cheers!
