Plus the fact that he's insecure to the Duke doubled his pride for Maxi's protection to the point of being overbearing. So far, I'm on chapter 108. The plot of story is interesting and the character build up is okay but I think it was not properly executed because of multiple grammar and spelling errors. The story could've been better if it was written correctly. Some(most) paragraphs are confusing because of improper pronouns used. Overall it was not that bad. But it could be improved

Riftan pulled her into his arms and muttered something inaudible. Summoning up her courage, Maxi began to undo the straps of his trousers. She felt ragged breaths above her head. Riftan made no attempts to stop her. After a moment of hesitation, she began to touch him as gently as when he had touched her. After reading Riftan's POV. His paranoia when it comes to Maxi is so understandable though it's sad.

It's sad, actually. Because of the hardships that Maxi and Riftan went through, they cannot easily express themselves. They have reservations, self loathing, insecurities, doubt and fear that could not be voiced out. Despite the evident love for one another, they simply lack communication and assurance especially for Maxi. Although I wish that they resolve this conflict right away. Certainly looking forward to it!
Maxi looked up at the princess's captivating face. The capital would have no shortage of similarly beautiful women. Surrounded by such company, Riftan would surely grow sick of his wife in no time.
