Yes, i’m thinking about what he’s instructed Hebaron to do, what is going on with the Livadonian knights who were also heading to the Pamela Plateau and if we will see Ursuline and Gabel and the others join soon.

Not that my comment matters much and although I’m just as gutted not to get book 2, it’s almost poetic justice that we have to wait, just like Riftan is waiting for Maxi. I’ve always thought that Riftans POV should actually be book 1. Since it finishes where the current book 1 starts. But totally agree that it explains Riftans love for Maxi and his journey to be the man we see in Book 1.

Thank you for appeasing my anxiety that this story would finish here. I love it and now have to wait until August for book 2.

But the Duke did give Riftan the daughter that he treasured. He certainly manipulated it based on the knowledge that Riftan had wanted to offer his geas to Maxi. What he didn’t account for, was Riftan surviving and being elevated to the greatest knight in the Continent. But Riftan got what he wanted and that was always Maxi, not her sister.

I can’t believe you are continually thanking all your readers, because we should be thanking you for writing such an engrossing story. I can barely put the book down. The characters are robust and the twists and turns are unexpected. I’m sorry I’m reading it well after you wrote it, not to be able to vote for it when it counted for you but it’s so great!
