Incredibly similar premise to Scholar's Advanced Technological System. The latter goes more in-depth regarding the specifics of the technology and build-up to produce them. Other than that there are some incredibly cringe moments where mc acts like he's a 5yr old shouting. I can't even definitively call that a face-slapping tag, it's 100% cringe.
immense potential but I'm not sure if the author cares about this story or is simply forced/uninspired about their work. After the first dozen chapters, this novel is comparable to MTL novels in that the dialogue makes no sense, mostly out of order, or there is no clear distinction between reflective and vocal dialogue. Finally, my main gripe is the inconsistent spelling of names and frequent swapping of a character's pronouns.
well, don't bother reading this novel unless you plan to read only up to ch364, because the names of everything/everyone suddenly changes. And from some other reviews that I've belatedly found, the abrupt name change fiasco happens for multiple characters in future chapters again.. ps. I was really enjoying the translation for this novel, truthfully this novel is better than its counterpart black tech internet cafe too
there are conflicting mentions of Yazdegerd and Theodosius' mother being in control via proxy. I'm perplexed on this point.. isn't Yazdegerd the Sassanid king? how is the eastern border with his empire a threat if he moved west to confront Marcellus
is there supposed to be some kind of dialogue or something here? it's just showing as ~ .... ??? xXx for the next few lines
Good enough romance, but it's not a 5/5 considering ML somehow falls in love with FL within seconds even though he's portrayed as cold-hearted due to his past. My second point of contention would be that I assume the author has little to no knowledge of showbiz (though even without you could somehow still make a better plot), otherwise, I fail to understand why every plot regarding FL at work is revolving around sabotage instead of actual adversity. Nonetheless, I did enjoy this novel though I would recommend taking the synopsis with a grain of salt, it's misleading and if you didn't know better, assume it's not even the same novel.
Initially, the story was great, it had me hooked until around 300 chapters in. But then I think the author ran out of ideas to challenge the MC and FL's relationship. Like, come onnnnnnn, how the hell can Talia walk in on some ex trying to seduce Damon 50 times over and over and over again. This repetitive troupe alone is so off-putting that I unfortunately can't continue reading past 600 chapters
