Lol, I see what you mean. In some fanfics with long chapters, especially ones where the author has the MC theorize in their head more than everything else put together, I wish it would end, more so to have a benchmark to stop at. IMO, 1K is a tease, 2K is decent to where you received a treat and want more, 3K is a bit of a sweet spot and 4-5K is a satisfying read. I have some horded fanfics in Screvener that range from 3.5K to 4-5K on average that I've yet to post anywhere.

Maybe it's because I binged? This one was 0.927K. Last chapter was decently longer around that 1.5K mark. Still, they seemed a bit shorter on average lately and it'd be nice if it weren't one scene per chapter. Like the depth, but the length is still bellow the bare minimum either way.

Is that why chapters were so short recently compared to older chapters? Cut them down in size so the extra can be added to Patreon? IMO, while the frequency of updates was great and all, it seems like chapter inflation. I'd rather you hold off until you have at least the bare minimum of 2K words for a decent read.

Can you call it a butterfly effect if it's an AU to begin with? The author already threw canon out the window by having the MC not be the cause of certain changes anyway. So Kaga herself can be considered canon in this universe, thus, not a butterfly effect.

Also the fact that the programing that was also part of the bombs in their chest heavily influenced that path, which Krillin wished to be removed.

The mutliverse thing with the time-machine is that it creates new branches from interacting with the past without effecting the time travelers timeline, not actually coming from an alternate reality. So the time traveling thing wouldn't happen unless the MC lets things get that bad in the future. He can also just let Cell develop, but would take way too long.
