Such a shallow grave is fitting for a judge with such a shallow understanding of jurisprudence and ethics.

Could be the raws were cut&pasted. It's not always the translator being the lazy one.
Wait. Didn't the author mention that the Diamond class was full of nobles? Why are they talking trash about nobles?
Puberty just hit somebody's vocal chords, hard.
"Bid" is the correct conjunction in this form/meaning of "to bid" because it is in the setting of an auction. So the sentence should be "Someone actually bid 2 million?" Bade is the past tense of a different meaning of "to bid" and is similar to "to forbid" in conjugation. Example: "I bade her farewell as we parted." which is similar to "My father forbade me to meet the boy again."
Yes and no, this sentence has a chicken and egg circuitous effect that is often found in Asian philosophy. Those who truly understand themselves don't lie to themselves or try to twist reality to fit their convenience or ego. Such a person will habitually rely on logic, as they frequently use it to better understand and double-check themselves... Thereby gaining a greater grasp of logic in the process, eventually leading to a true understanding of both. Besides, the commenters before me may be assuming the logic being discussed is the Greek version of logic, which is not necessarily the case.
This, while crudely stated, has great wisdom hidden within it. Think about it...It acknowledges the inherent risk of pregnancy for and a permanent connection with said woman, thereby implying that he will accept responsibility for any consequences. On top of that it means that he will exercise restraint and care in choosing any partner because nothing can destroy lives like an unplanned pregnancy with a foolish spouse who doesn't understand that money doesn't grow on trees and can't all be spent impulsively just because they expect the future earnings to fill the pit they just dug. The future is rarely so kind and smooth as to be safely depended on, that is why resources need to be conserved to deal with any vicissitudes. Besides foolish parents beget foolish children that could join the fool of a spouse in digging the debt pit twice (or more) as fast! He has grand plans for this life and looks forward to a long-term partner that can help and share those goals with him. This is the kind of wisdom I'd like to see MORE humans living by. {°ꐐ°}
Always? Is 4 days counted as an eternity now?
I love how shamelessly he basically said 'I know nothiiiing about this problem, but I just happen to know the perfect solution to it.' ... ...{{ႎၳꋂႎၳ}~♬
Confucius strikes again.
Surprise twist, Isaac wins the bet and Risa and the rest lose (Will Risa and up babysitting? Stay tuned!)
Guess Risa wins the bet after all. Deus ex machina?
Called it! I figured the darkness from his job class and a counter balancing light element would be the most probable dynamic in this event. But everyone's bets are so far off the mark they are all stuck with babysitting duty... Might as well have a party. {ႎၳꋂႎၳ}~♬
Artemis: {ဖၴꋂဖၴ}ᯏᯪ Stupid fur balls. *swears to NEVER babysit again!*
I can't handle babies, either. I'd much rather have a house full of teenagers than babies, any road. 🐣🐤🐥🐣…{{စဴθစဲ}
Agreed.
I find his desire to strengthen the system of social order for all, rather than focusing on only his own vengeful satisfaction, to be quite commendable. Justice for one may not be justice for all, but justice for all will be justice for each, as well. I like how this showcases his values. GJ, Author!
Either side, not both sides. Because a single knife can never be pulled from both sides at the same time. It is important to understand concepts like either, neither, both, all and none when writing or translating into English. They are NOT synonymous. --Awanna B. Editor, English maven
