I’ve read 5 but omniscient readers viewpoint changed down the line, mc stopped thinking/acting like a side character.

I’ve read 4 novels with about the mc being a side character/extra and even now I still don’t get it. Why do authors all follow the “side character” mentality. Mc becomes an extra so he’s gonna be a faithful extra and won’t do anything beyond that?

Such a weird relationship…how are they friends? A random stranger crashes at your place without your knowledge & consent, tries to drug you but y’all end up as friends just cuz she cooks for you? I’m trying to stick around but it’s annoying. This whole thing makes no sense. A random female stranger basically made herself at home and the mc said nothing against it, and he’s married too so he shouldnt even be quiet. That same stranger quit their own school just to be with him. Swap the genders and you’ve got urself a crazy/stalker but the mc is okay with it, even though she put an aphrodisiac in.
