Yeah, keeping up appearances is a big thing for China apparently. All the face-slapping and saving face scenes in the CN novels are there for a reason. Makes sense in a country where the government censors anything remotely bad about themselves. From what I have been seeing on the news recently, the Indians are headed on a similar path.

She had discussed this with Doug on the plane about this. It was a weird cultural shock to them. In the West and even in neighboring India, embellishing the struggles and the hard-fought rise to power was a highlight of any success story. But in China, the struggles were the footnote and the success itself was the story. The unnatural focus on saving face meant they hid anything they thought was a blemish.

I started off this story with a very vague outline so even I wasnt sure how or where the plot would go most of the times. It just happened. But I'm aware of what you're saying and trying to make the MC more involved.

Author here, I have taken some liberties with the characterization and story of Doom to better fit my narrative. So please take that into consideration.

The MC's motivation to shepherd humanity was established right from the start though. It was the main point of the story, not the MC. But I agree that the MC has been too passive in the recent chapters. I'm trying to write him back into the story without his OP status making it too stupid.

There is no favoritism or patriotism regarding India anywhere in this story. The only thing I've used as a positive is the Indian culture without any glorification. I'm getting tired of people seeing a story set anywhere except the US and thinking that it must be like chinese propaganda novels.

It's just like Molecule Man can manipulate things at a smaller scale than molecules but his power is still called moleculekinesis. Just a name.

"Yes, think of me as a human 3D printer but on an atomic scale. Molecular manipulation is a very handy power. Too bad I can't actually create souls though."

You don't say MCU shows favoritism to USA do you? It's just a setting, a place where the story is set. The mythology and lore in India plus it's geopolitical situation suited my story so it was chosen. As for why I retell stories from comics like Thanos' origin? It's because his story is important to explain how he is defeated later in the story.

If you have read the story carefully, you'll also see that they mention the 'cursed' as well.

This fanfic mostly follows the comics. I have only kept some elements of MCU to make it easier for non-comic readers to be able to follow the story.

His body isnt suitable for handling cosmic energies but with the serum it is modified to be able to do so. That is the premise Im working with.

I think the energy of Sentry comes from that very imperceptible moment when his atoms are moving back and forth. In between those unobservable moments, maybe he reaches into the mythical dimension of one million exploding suns." Savant theorized while sighing at the workload.

I tend to write off some things within conversations or TV/news announcements in later chapters. But now that you've mentioned it, I might have forgotten to include this in the part it was supposed to be put in. There was supposed to be a section where I explained how the US compensated and avoided war.

Sentry serum is a thousands of times more potent than super soldier one that Captain America got. These serums magnify whatever your personality happens to be like. Sentry when he got the power was an addict and going through shit. As for his sidekick, in the comics, Sentry has the ability to share his powers with others for some reason. That's how the guy got his powers.

"The effect of super soldier serum that Captain America took was said to enhance the personalities of whoever took it. Red Skull became villainous and the Captain became the hero. But this Sentry serum is far stronger than we imagined, so it is no wonder the Void was born." Sage lamented while looking at some papers.

It's not that it didn't succeed at all but it prioritized from where it would spread it's hate. It's just a bacteria, it can't affect all of humanity at once.

During the next two billion years of its existence until modern times, Sublime had been working hard to increase the hatred of humans toward the mutants. He also helped humans create weapons that could destroy the mutants.

Power scaling comic characters is mostly based on what the current writer of the story wants from the characters really. Magneto can manipulate one of the four fundamental forces of the universe but he is not shown as a reality manipulator in comics.

He might as well be called a god since he was as powerful as the Hulk in its prime. But he was so human that his own humanity defeated him.
