He feared what his dad would do to him if Arsha told them the actual reason they had gone out to the field was to break his mana shell. He knew his dad would be disappointed if he found out. Similarly, he was confused as to how Arsha had explained the series of events that followed after. Because if he himself was asked to do the same, he feared he might not be able to deliver any reasonable explanation as to what happened without somehow being seen as a confused person.
