We most likely won't see Kai for a while, probably gonna happen after tai lung beats a lot of the other countries and stuff. If Kai does come early, he isn't gonna face Tai lung as he is. Most likely, he will travel the lands in search of strong masters he can take the chi of as there is no point in taking chi of a lot of masters in China apart from those belonging to the Jade palace since they are useless against tai lung or that they aren't string enough. So he would hen use the masters he's already collected plus the extra from the mortal realm as army against tai lung. After kai is defeated, just because the action is over doesn't mean that the book is finished. The author can simply use their imagination to create new places tai lung faces but no bigger bad because realistically the world only cares abt it's chosen one and if they can fulfil their path. There's no point in creating a new chosen one cos Po is already there and he has relatively fulfilled most of his destiny and will fulfil his entire thing when he fights kai alongside tai lung.

It depends on the perspective. Depending on authors plan, the reason why this chapter would work as a volume intro is to establish a foreshadowing. The main part of this chapter is power or love but it's also highlighting the old man crippling his chakra pathways like a chinese cultivator and living a peaceful life with no bloodshed or nothing showing that chakra can be regarded as a reason for all this pain.

Oddly enough, this is out of place for danzo especially during the second war where his obsession should be much more mild than shown here especially in regards to experimenting on wood release since it will only be there after he discovers orochimarus experiment roughly at the end of the 3rd shinobi war. Furthermore, he would've never tried to kill kazuki since so far he's a loyal soldier of konoha regardless of his strength. If you want to talk abt sakumo, danzo never intended he die. In fact during the end of Second great shinobi war, sakumo's accomplishments were so much that he was regarded as the next Hokage and since danzo wanted the title more, he used the public after that one mission to have them get negative feelings of sakumo since he failed to kill I think it was the 3rd kazekage in an assassination attempt. He didn't intend that sakumo die cos he's not stupid enough to believe that sakumo's strength wouldn't matter since at this point sakumo is stronger than all of the sannin together. (we did see that danzo's second plan is to have him get a negative public image but this should've been his first plan). Plus he's not stupid enough to use 2 jinchurikkis as a mere distraction, not to mention the 7 tails, but Kurama himself who if they somehow manage to unleash their entire form, he knows that Hiruzen won't be able to take both of biju and beat them up like hashirama cos 1. he doesn't have wood style. 2. He isn't a master seals expert like Mito was plus she's dead now and jiraiya isn't in the village. This could've actually destroyed the village and danzo wouldn't have taken this risk.
