Arthur didn't hesitate, unleashing a blast of pure, uncontained flames at us. The flames burned away at me, whilst she was left unharmed due to her ability to protect her body with Mana. sensitive enough to Mana to discern makes sense, no?

The reason the characters don't have any substantial depth is bcz the mc hasn't made any effort to get to know anyone, he still sees them as characters hence why the constant comparisons to what the characters did in the og novel. It's a cliché bit of character dev ik but I rlly like that sort of thing.
