So it wad an accident during q fair fight, but the other family couldn't accept the death of their son and decided to punish a 14 year old kid for it, and that said kid family decided to avoid problems and let the other family anise of their influence to ruin the life of said kid. It disgust me. No wonder he became a villain, he did not want any of that to happen, but it did, and his main fault was to be too young and inexperienced not to crash out.

Litsen, what's wrong with wanting to be original ? You already equals it to stupid, which in my opinion is even more stupid. Stories are here to make us dream, drive us apart from reality, lead us to thr wonderful corner of our mind. Logic is important, but even in real life are we all logic ? Many people would have done the same picking a weapon they and that fots them and their fighting style more than the one everybody would find as the obvious choice. If we talk about compatibility, look at his abilities, they are more fit for a bow than a gun, but since he can't wield a bow what is better than a cross bow ? It is way more logical for him to pick it in this scenario. Just chill and enjoy the story, as a weapon fanatic i always believed, the wielder makes the weapon, more than the weapon makes the wielder, that is my belief. So calm down, and let Rel cook.
You see, drawing and maintaining the tension on a bowstring requires a considerable amount of strength, especially in situations that demand a series of rapid and sustained shots. Unfortunately, my current strength level doesn't allow me to execute such movements effectively. Hence, the crossbow became the obvious choice, offering a compromise between range and the demands of my physical capabilities.
