nah, she pretty much learns early on that he was way too strong for her to even compare herself...so now, she's just there to be strong as she could in whatever opportunity that may come...being that fighting Hamil is one of the opportunities for her to be strong.

It's not that she's helping him, it's more like an order from the big family that basically states that he should live through his life all on his own with so minimal help from the world.
