I’m glad someone caught that possibility. I mentioned it in the Vilun Island arc. They killed researchers in a neighboring country who tried to create a squire, yet at Vilun, they simply focused on long range attacks and not on how the islanders had Martial Seniors? I think exposure to a mutagen is probably a good explanation for a weaker, less-specific evolution creating those weaker squires and seniors… and also a knowledge that is harder to obtain as it would be something sacred to those tribes. And eventually the more technologically advanced civilizations would enhance those old, sacred techniques into a science… sort of like what Rui is doing with his knowledge of earth martial arts and a new body capable of utilizing the Void Algorithm.
I’ve said it before... I like to read. I like to get involved in a story. A short word count simply means I have to wait longer to get more reading in. Besides, I doubt any readers are griping about the word count. I expect the motive for some authors is to take a chapter that could be done in one day’s purchase and turn it into two or three day’s purchase. I’m not against you guys making money, but they should at least have a little artistic integrity and let their muse make the decision sometimes. 😄
I have greatly enjoyed the progression of the MC. I especially enjoy the science the author has obviously painstakingly researched. Some people will see my comments to other negative reviewers. I will add now, that I have not changed my mind. The story has gotten better. The desire of the MC to progress in strength is so, very similar to almost every other story, but the progression from a simple human who’s knowledge of science could lead to a martial artist of extreme capability is just a wonderfully entertaining read.
Did you go on vacation? 😄 haven’t seen a chapter update in a few days. I know there is no way you could finish the story in just the privileged chapters. I hope everything is OK. I know real life sometimes gets in the way of creativity. Take care and get back to writing soon!
Did I miss the explanation on how the tribe has squires and seniors? Did they discover a way to autonomously evolve without the science the more advanced nations developed? Rui had to massacre the scientist of a developed nation because they developed a process, and yet this isolated, underdeveloped nation discovered a method and no one is concerned about it?
Apparently the human desire and effort to get better is less interesting to some readers than a god-like system that puts screens in your head to view other’s strengths. 😂 I’m enjoying this story. It’s fun, original, and the characters and scenarios are both fantastical and scientific at the same time.
