I'll admit that the first comment I made was condescending, but I didn't insult you. I never assumed your gender, I didn't call you boorish, I only said that you haven't had the experience you claim to have. I only talked about your mental state after you did. the only one to admit their feelings about these comments is me because I am the one who is being attacked. you are the one who keeps escalating the situation. so why don't you stop.
No, I explained basic survival camp building, and then you called my explanation mansplanation and said that I should feel better now. your comments of mansplanation annoyed me, so I attacked back. instead of ignoring my original comment, you would provoke someone by insulting them, and then saying you haven't attacked them is hilarious. I didn't insult you until you insulted me. and saying I'm wasting your time, why would you even care so much about this to keep communicating because conversations and arguments are two-way streets. I have good points and solid arguments. That's why you're attacking my mental state and attacking with snotty remarks. I must be right if this is all you can come up with. if this is your defense, you might want to take a look in the mirror and get some therapy done because I'm having a blast.
I had good enough points to make you stop defending your comment and start attacking me, apparently. I must've been right because from the way you're reacting, you must be so mad.
i'm not sure whether it's just a lack of combat experience or a canon consequence of comsuming to many pills. In some novels, taking too many pills apparently poisons you and can have all kinds of bad effects like crippling your cultivation by not letting you advance and even lowering it, and death is an option. the consequence depends upon how many you took or taking one past your ability. my favorite is taking a high-level pill to raise your cultivation really fast, and you get overwhelmed by the energy, and the qi inside literally makes you explode.
my head cannon of why this works is that cultivation is a trial made by heaven. by passing stages or levels and their trials and tribulations, you prove yourself worthy of having power. you don't truly fight against heaven but fight to prove your worth. this also means that there really isn't a problem with having heaven's favorite children. It's just RNJesus picking favorites and giving out trash just for fun.
you're just mad about being wrong at something you thought you were good at. When I knew for a fact you've never actually had to go through anything more than camping in the woods for a weekend.
hey, I get what you're trying to say, but these are interchangeable based on the needs of the survivor. plus, as someone with knowledge of these situations, I'm sure you of all people understand the importance of where you place the camp. the things you look for are a nearby water source and good camp building materials, and the scope of the land, right? you see now, right? the first thing you do is never build a shelter. The first thing you do is find where water is, and then it's to build a shelter. because if you don't, your only option for water is rain water and rain water isn't enough water to survive for long periods of time. another thing you've never been in a desert, have you? in most of them, there is practically nothing to build with anyway, so moving forward at day and camping at night with a campfire is a must because rain is the least of your problems, you have to find some kind of water and shelter immediately. the highs of the day is 49celsius or 120fahrenheit, and at night, you still have to worry about the -4celsius or 25fanrenheit weather. as you can see from this example that the land and environment dictate how you have to adapt. in some cases, you can even completely forgo shelter. if you have the tools to evade the weather, you don't need shelter. a rain coat, a truly thick winter coat, some working pants, and some nice leather boots plus a backpack, and you can travel by foot to 55% to 70%of the world as long as you have access to food and water. Now, for the real problem, why is this man's skill bad? because he is in a new world with absolutely no knowledge and no real way to defend himself. and I know what you're saying his shelter will defend him. Yeah, it might, but he will need to leave his shelter for food and water at some point unless it can generate both. if it can, my opinion on this skill will change, but this is only the first page I've read so far, so that remains to be seen.
the pot calling the kettle black....
listen, his foundation is a combination of things. what he is referring to here is his potential, not the power he has already. his power is solid and doesn't lack anything that a cultivator of his level should have. it's his potential to grow and his speed of growth he is talking about.
I honestly thought that the wife had the same one as him and that you were just mixing the 2 up, but now it doesn't matter.
wow, so I read a couple of more paragraphs, and then a bombshell goes off. this dude leaves the sect and goes to a random village and marries a random rich girl with extremely low potential, and his is still worse. so I take back my prior comment because we are both wrong he quite literally has the lowest possible potential, and both his wife and sister are better.
he is talking about the sister on the mountain, not his current wife. while we have seen the wife's potential, we have yet to see his junior sister's potential, so we don't know. but what we do know is that she has a higher cultivation aptitude than him because it's stated by the mc like three times that he has the worst possible potential in the history of his sect.
'er is added to show affection and to show a close relationship, his name is yi so yi'er. it's like using a pet name or nickname to call someone. It's another thing that doesn't have a true one to one when translating to English.
though the true question is how this guy would know even a cardinal realm guy would have trouble, like for real, the old man is just spouting nonsense.
he is currently in the hidden life realm, just one below the cardinal.
gifted few or the minority with said ability. the author probably tried to set the tone that only those with the talent and luck can do this. so the mc can get around this with some kind of system or golden finger. webnoval isn't known for being the best translation novel service. It just takes the literal translation with little to no regional buffering. probably said something about only the few, can do it, but the word they used for the few normally means minority or minorities. literal is good until it isn't, and webnovel is amazingly literal. this literal sense is all over in all their novels. Some of the novels are great and have no problems, but once an author starts using complicated words in complex sentences that have more depth than surface level meaning the literal sense approach used falls apart and the true meaning gets lost in translation.
3.5, for him it went to 3 after the heavenly troops raid then when he accepted to be the heavenly emperors instead of the heavenly courts it went to 3.5 and those two are the only changes.
the only person to die and yet live under the MC's blade...impressive.
to be fair the Mc has an ability to hide his true cultivation from anyone it seems, no matter their level. the Mc has been exposed a couple of times but that only happens either when he is cultivating or when he strikes or when he revealed it to his master. So he literately couldn't sense the Mc's true cultivation level because of that ability and the second he felt the Mc's energy he realizes that he couldn't block it, then gets hit. after this he's like I cant win admits his loss and leaves. If this isn't the definition of being able to gauge himself verses an opponent then nothing is. He suffered this loss not because he didn't gauge who he was speaking to right, But because the Mc had the op ability to hide his level for free from anyone. so I'd say his evaluation of himself is correct, and your explanations of arrogance and confidence are wrong. you can be confident without being arrogant and you can be arrogant while being confident, your definitions doesn't allow that to happen. Confidence is when you have a genuine belief in oneself, leading to positive self-assurances. Arrogance, however, has an inflated sense of self-importance, dismissive behavior, and a lack of empathy. Arrogance can cause a genuine belief in oneself, a misguided one I'll say but a belief all the same.
let's be real. Both of them use slave labor it's just communists have enough guts to call their slaves slaves.
