One suggestion if you can see this. Instead of writing every action/event as a summary, have moments where the story slows down for a bit. for example, don't summarize his thoughts all the time, you can use single quotation marks or italics to show what he's thinking. That way we can get better acquainted with the MC and it adds depth to his character.
