Scouting mission would be good. Monster slaying is always the first mission something different would be nice. and assassinating a corrupt emperor could be interesting but feels kinda strange for a first mission, she could that at a later date.

there was a Daughter of a high ranking North Korean who fled ,for reasons I forgot, who traveled through China to Taiwan or Vietnam I think and met a South Korean man on a bus who convinced the Tour guide to hide her but she was caught at the border and put in jail. This same man convinced the Authorities to not bring her back to North Korea but to China instead. Then he proceeded to help her to Journey to another Country ,or back to Vietnam or Taiwan, MARCHING Through Crocodile infested Waters in the Night barefoot to get her to safety. I do not know why or even how but sometimes people are just like that and go above and beyond for no deeper reason. that's the gist of it I surely got many details wrong but my point is made you don't need a reason to help someone sometimes you just do it.
