Yes. Yes I did. Thanks!
Good luck on your project!
Hey Jenny! Thanks for your offer, but I'm not interested in writing for profit at the moment. Writing is currently just a hobby for me. A contract sets requirements and expectations that I'm not sure that I can/want to make. Again, thanks for your time and I hope that you enjoy the future updates.
A story with excellent potential. The plot flows well with good twists and pacing. The story progresses quickly, which some readers may like. The writing quality is much better in this novel than in the author's other one (The Beta's Mate). The male lead is honestly my least favorite character (highly arrogant and foolish), but there is promise for him to straighten himself out. Honestly, my favorite characters are the Primals, for spoiler-ish reasons (read to find out!). There's a bit of inner palace/harem strife, but not a lot, which some readers may or may not like.
Yup. I've been toying around with this story idea for a while, and I got a bit too caught up with world building.
Honestly, I would prefer to have many more chapters before making a review so that I would have more to work with. Here is the review, but I will likely adjust it later: Overall, this novel has potential. The opening hook is excellent and the story flows well with some grammatical hiccups. It's fairly fast paced with plenty of face smacking potential. Time will tell if it falls into the typical 'fight cannon fodders to bring out the big boss' plot. The opening scene at the very start is well done and an excellent choice as a 'hook' for readers. The dream twist to the 'wise old man guide'/'ancient inheritance' tropes helps this novel stand out. It's a bit of a shame that it was only really used in the first couple of chapters to start the story. The protagonist has an 'all powerful cultivator Gary Stu' vibe, but he has an impressive dedication to his harem and potential for growth. Right now, shameless flirting and showing off seems to be his entire identity. There doesn't seem to be anything that can stop him or any girl that can reject him. I'm excited to watch him struggle a bit.
Seconded.
Most people think that nothing ever happens in Canada, so I decided to make things happen in Canada. The story might go back to Canada in the very, very end or epilogue/side chapter. I decided to start there because I was reading up on cryptids for the background of my protagonist's parents and the waheela caught my interest.
At first, I only intended to read the first few chapters to write a fair review, but I just couldn't stop reading! This novel has an interesting twist on the very cliché lycanthrope-human romance story trope. The love interest is a beta instead of an alpha/top of the pack or omega/bottom of the pack. The female lead has relatable concerns. As a character she's a bit weak, but with potential for growth. I honestly prefer the male lead much more. He is so cute when he's possessive and worried over our female lead. Yet, he doesn't go absolutely crazy. He tries to respect the female lead's will. The story is fairly fast paced and there's never a dull moment. The first few chapters were a bit confusing (why were our leads so trusting?) but that is quickly explained (Not going to spoil how, so read to find out!). The author has a more detail oriented writing style, which some readers may not like. The world background is developing nicely (though a bit wordy at times). While the updates are fairly regular, the author has a tendency for run-ons and long sentences which can become monotonous. I would recommend chopping up the run-on sentences and varying sentence length. This would help make actually reading flow better.
