This novel has so much potential, I'm not sure what think about the author. Like, I got hook with his other novel (bloodlines...) And he dropped it. This one is even better, and in terms of quality not many novels in the sit's can compare. but it will never be a top novel in Webnovels just because his releases are way to inconsistent. Author stated that this story was not going to be as grim as his previous. But Nick does has Shang vibes ( yeah I messesed up his name). I'm not really sure about your theory of Nick been a hybrid, he is definitely human, from the way he has been able to evolve his ability to the way his power progression is going, they follow human paths, not specters. My only issue with Nick right now is that he is way to smart without a proper explanation. How he manages the ambush and his infiltration mission without any proper training on those aspect is a clear example. He is so smart in fighting strategy aspects that I can't assign it to just innate talent/instinct. But his emotional intelligence is odd, like how in this chapter he understands Wynthor was just a kid, lIke him and wanted to teach him a lesson, but he is definitely hang on revenge.

Man, I have no clue where is this going. Is Nick turning to Shawn... Or is this really a different story?

Got up to date with Atticus odyssey yesterday. It's decent but there are so many plot holes in the world lore. Like for example, how in the camp there where only 20 students in the MC year and they are all cousins. But the family is composed of over a million members... But yeah, the action and plot are entertaining
