Fluer's father?
why......
renegotiate what? the profits were decided based on finances invested, work participated, and resources invested. At the end of the day, the Mc is within his complete rights for his shares, giving them a bigger piece of the pie that they never wanted anything to do with in the first place is a sour taste. Honestly leaving would be better at this point, the board members while not being as hardlined as these two, still show their lack of value for the Mc, and if the Mc continues to work with them under such circumstances, I would be incredibly disappointed. They undervalued the movie, and that is entirely their fault. It is already to their benefit that the studio would cover any expense while gaining some profit, yet they want to gain more shares than the expense they put in? In all honesty, that is normal behavior for a lot of people, but at the end of the day, working with such people will hold back the Mc's potential. Making concessions to maintain a good business relationship is smart for the long run, since at the end of the day business is all about interests and benefits, but at the same time can be damaging based on how you do it. Let's put it in relationship terms, say a girl makes concessions to maintain a relationship with a toxic guy who clearly doesn't value her and will dump her the moment she has no use in his eyes, is that smart? no, it's not. Though not entirely the same, the principle still applies in business. as someone who has both parents being business owners and watching them conduct themselves and all the things we have experienced with I, myself now working in their respective industries. I can say without a doubt that continuing a working relationship like that is not sustainable, and it is better to cut ties now and save yourself from future grief. I understand if maybe the author doesn't completely understand how business works, and I'm not saying you do or don't cause I don't know, but at a certain point, business relationships are an integral part of any business, and if partners that you plan to work with for an extended period don't respect you, that is a problem. (there would be some leeway if you're only temporarily working with such people, keeping them at arm's length since avoiding sleazy people in any industry is not possible, but for the long-term partnerships that have huge importance, I wouldn't recommend it.) The Mc already would have the funds to start his own production with investments from that billionaire he met, who seems like he is 'mysterious investor' who is going to buy the shares from those shareholders on the Mc's directive, and if the Mc could convince Chris who has experience to rather start a new studio with him, it would be a tough in the beginning but in the long run very beneficial. Or, in the Mc's position, he shouldn't budge unless the studio is willing to trade company shares for an increase in profits. Since they have no grounds to stand on for demanding any shares without giving the Mc something in return. in the end, your book is great, I don't want to spread any hate. This is just a bit of criticism, hopefully constructive. keep up the good work.
I hope Gossip Girl is more like the book than how it played out in the show. being this sorta omniscient elusive figure instead of being Dan, which didn't make sense. the show is better than the book, but their choice of making the gossip girl an actual person didn't make sense - especially the person they chose, other people would've made more sense than Dan cause when you think about, Dan being Gossip Girl would make his character schizophrenic and a psychopath. It was incredibly dumb.
it a phrase, the author is not wrong - people use it to emphasize the importance of what they want done.
which normal person would be brave enough to insult Bruce Wayne to his face?
