I feel like the pacing has gotten really bad. The chapters are sluggish and lack any sort of depth. The entire story feels like it is riding the curtain tails of the previous ark. There has been next to no character building and everything reminds me of an M. Night Shyamalan movie. It's like someone else is writing this story with no idea where JKS was going with it.

Love the story! I'm always eager to read more. 😍 On another note, just checked the requirements to evolve the Special Forces Soldier to first order. He has met all the requirements and I know MC is a smart guy. That skill could greatly increase his ability to not only train, but fight against more intelligent enemies. If the unclassified skill is all knowledge of earth fighting techniques and weapons, then the first order version will likely go beyond earth or to different levels of the military. A generals job is very different from the Special Forces, after all.

What beautifully written chapters!! The journey of Lith is the most emotionally evocative and relatable character I've ever read! The interactions between Lith and his cohorts is always a highlight. The depth of emotions written here are so engrossing that it is easy to forget you are just reading a story. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing work of literature!!!

I love this story, but the Endless Lotus Blue Flame is driving my English sense crazy. I don't know why it bothers me, but the proper way to write this is "Endless Blue Lotus Flame". The descriptors always come first in English. I know this probably isn't written by a native speaker, so it's understandable that it is written differently. I just have a feeling this flame is going to get a lot of attention later in the novel. Thank you so much for an amazing read!! Your consistent posting and much longer chapters are one of my favorite characteristics! You know, aside from the incredible story and characters. 😏

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking this may be one of Jill's, the 8th family leader, family members. Since they were the only group who could use telepathy. My guess, is that her descendants wanted to thank Quinn for preventing the complete annihilation of their bloodline while some of them might have not cared. This crashing a split between the 'good'; Layla, and the 'bad' the 8th family rogues.

Haven't you been keeping up with JKS in the author's notes? He moved countries. Now that he's found a place, we should be getting more regular updates. Just because you pay for this does not mean that the author suddenly stops being a person. If you are not satisfied, the best way to voice your dissatisfaction is to not purchase the story. No one is forcing you to spend your money. Your sarcasm is rather dry and pedantic.

I bet it is similar only in shape. My guess is that this is a wights transformation in general. The fact it protrudes from his head is likely a way to make up for a wights biggest weakness, their heads.

I almost never comment on this story, but I've loved Manohar since the first day I met him. Such a wonderfully written character. His brilliance as a fake mage bordering on awakening was the highlight of ever chapter he was in. I haven't cried for a character like this since losing Dumbledore in the Harry Potter books. Such a wonderfully written story, and most importantly, exceptionally well written characters!

I'm torn between the blood scythe upgrade mentioned above. The blood blade and shadow handle with glowing red veins on the handle to symbolize his celestial side. And the classic oni mask he wore all the time. I love the scythe idea because it's new and something only Quinn had, but the Oni mask goes back to his days at the academy.
