It is not tyranny because tyranny is "cruel and oppressive government or rule," and this is not cruel. It is an application of existing laws that should have been applied already. On account of how the laws were already existing and not put in place by the current government, I'm not even sure how much it qualifies as authoritarian.

I think there are three obvious ways this could go: 1. Nick succeeds, setting the tone for the novel as in support of his philosophy. 2. Nick fails, setting the tone against his philosophy but potentially also acting as a set up for an even greater epiphany. 3. Nick's success is limited but tangible. This could be in support of his philosophy and inspire him to simply work harder and potentially also set up a conflict with aegis if they don't believe his success is enough.

Although the conversion is right, an object weighing several kg in somebody's pocket would still tear at the pocket significantly more than usual and make it sag and but the person's leg. It depends on the construction of the pocket a bit, but I don't think this is necessarily correct. I guess it could be if the clothing very tightly fits the person and is made of strong fabric though?
