I'm feeling pretty flattered but no thank you. I want neither Asher the Insane nor Book of Kings to be contracted. There is no specific reason for this.

What's good, people? As you can tell by my name, I'm the author. 👋 (Hi, there) I'm here to tell you that this book is complete garbage. I had an idea for an isekai story once and didn't know where to go with it but still wrote 100 chapters, (with exactly 100k words). So, enjoy the dumbester fire of unconcentrated, foggy, hazy and also lazy writing that I have produced.

Honestly, I don't like this. The singular thing which makes this book not work for me at all, is the premise that the MC, One, or Long, is supposedly, "Beyond Almighty". But for some, god forsaken reason, he plays with such absolute trivial matters, like being reborn as a human to change humanity. If he is "Beyond Almighty" then he could do anything in an instant, and with the fact that he is, nothing in the story will be of any matter of consequence. If something happens he doesn't like, he could just change it to something he does. If the "Beyond Almighty" being doesn't use his power then it's just bad writing for the sake that plot goes on, which is just running with a very, very flawed premise. If he had lost his memory, or part of power is locked away when being reborn then this book would just work outright better. Also, ew with all the lewd stuff. Not that I am against it but this book is so unbelievable disgusting with it. Why would a "Beyond Almighty" being even be interested in a harem, or even sex in general?

I can't say that I found this very captivating. It's only the first chapter, but it is still chock-full of exposition to explain the coming story-line and the relation the MC, Alexander, shares with his surroundings. Which is the cursed, "Hated by All," cliché, even for no good reason except not being very good at, what exactly, "fighting and magic?" as a 14-year-old. I personally don't enjoy that sort of thing, "show, don't tell." and the like. The grammar and prose is the saving grace, being of higher quality one usually finds when reading new novels on this site.

An anthology horror/drama/thriller novel is not something you'd see often on this website to its dismay. Though all the characters and stories are something we should be familiar with, a burned ex-lover, an obsessive stalker, a leftover friend, all of them of the cynical variety, doesn't mean that this hasn't anything new to offer. The closeness and emotional sense the writing emits is its main draw, trying to put in real people, ranging from outright insane to deeply hurt. Anyway, the only real flaw I found is the not-too-often grammatical error and the shortness of the chapters which hinders ‘real’ character growth and attachment to them as a reader, which is the consequence of the average readers of this website having a short attention span. If you want smart, character driven, emotional story-telling I’d recommend After my Wife died. 3,5/5

Personally, I don't like this very much. That may have something to do with the fact that I dislike gimmick books. This one's gimmick is in the title and you can imagine everything that'll happen in it if you have read anything else ever. Quinn, the MC, is also pretty generic. It seems like his thoughts and action are all predicated by clichés and tropes the author has read/seen before. He seems to cold and distance, as he were a robot, just focused on trying to follow through with the gimmick he has been given.

You know GATE, the anime? This is basically it, but instead of a country, its a military squad with all the things Isekai comes with, stats and skills. Honestly, there's not much to say about the story.

As a surprise, this novel has excellent grammar and prose, a rare phenomena on this site and something which is praiseworthy. 5 Stars. There hasn't yet happened a lot in the story (depending on what your definition of 'a lot' is), because of the erratic uploading schedule but still and only two chapters being released of the date of this review. The premise itself is just another spin on 'Isekai with a twist' which is all the rage on this website. Though I paid no mind to the mind numbing trend which most, if not all, authors chase, based on that this book is, and will, most likely be based on comedy. Anyway, I'd recommend it because of the writing quality alone.

I'll just straight up skip the critique on grammar, as we all know most of the time it doesn’t live up to expectations. But for the rest, meh. It's isekai but a twist, how unexpected, right? Though the biggest appeal is the edginess of the story. I'll not spoil it here but just know that if you like a lot of EDGE you'll fit in here nicely. At least read until Chapter 4, and then you'll get your reward.

[Review after reading 11 chapters] This actually isn't too bad in its own genre. The premise itself is a bit generic, but the way it's got to it is something I thought was unique. The grammar is weird sometimes, sentence structure could be better and the strangest thing I noticed was that the storytelling voice, the narration, sometimes dips into the extreme casual. And it sometimes treats the reader as if he were stupid and also, the story is full of exposition, just telling us 'This is how it is' instead of trying to use another method of convey this information. Story-wise I have only a few complaints, which have may have been resolved in the next twenty other chapters I haven't read. !SPOILERS! This is, to me, the weirdest thing. This is the third and last attempt that Rishi, the MC, has to pass the exam to get a Book of Contracts. He's hurt and instead of trying to get healthy before attempting the exam, he just rushes in. Why? Rishi himself was surprised when he found out that he was healed when he was teleported into the exam arena. So, I assumed that he didn't know, or wasn't sure that he would be. Why is he rushing so hard to get it done, even while hurt? And secondly, there doesn't seem to be a downside to the two types of contracts one can have with a beast when choosing the servant variety. You could be normal friends with your beast, just as with the partner one, but still have the servant one chosen, so that it cannot leave or disobey you.

I know I'm much too late to suggest a beast but I'd say one of the big cat kind would be cool. A lion or tiger or a panther. Otherwise a bird, big one. A hawk or an eagle.
