The sky was overcast, darkened with murky whistles of windy storms. It could have rained down viciously, deluging everything at optical range into tsunami of havoc, disaster. Her panting self, running away, trying to escape those wild hounds eagerly wished the skies to drip their eyes out. At this very helpless moment, she prayed for her life by praying for the heavy storm. Indeed, a drowning man catches at straws. She was shrieking in the whirl winding streets of this estrange town, where people had already hidden themselves in their homes in order to stay away from the potential damage. How come she became the traveler of these ruthless streets. As nobody here, ever bother to lend ears to her plea. Destiny had her "between the devil and the deep blue sea". No door seemed open for her as she was rushing through those unforgiving and unfamiliar machi. All her hopes started dying out sooner, disappearing into the whirls of menacing storm. She stopped. Boy! How I never knew the beauty of Chinese culture. The author has beautifully integrated her heart winning story with the culture and not only the ML tend to stir the heart of our heroine but also mine as a reader.
