I like this novel but sometimes I feel like there are huge plot holes so that one of characters can be more op than necessary. like in one of the previous chapters the Emperor said he could see what's happening in Virala's mind space. If Virala is currently doing something in the mind space shouldn't the emperor see that. let me know if I'm wrong about this.

yeah but he's lying/acting in order to achieve his goals kinda feels like he went from a person who simply accepted his fate such as with having to kill people he didn't necessarily want to kill to someone who is more proactive.
