Both can leave islands under endless destruction. Enel's was ready to obliterate Skypiea while Akainu terraformed half of Punk Hazard into a volcanic hell. I would say they are at most neck-and-neck. This isn't just simple Magma, it's Oda's magma which is superior to fire (even though in theory fire can burn a lot hotter than magma)

I agree, it offers a lot more flexibility than light since light only travels in a straight line. I think it encapsulates more than enough speed and destruction to be considered the ultimate Logia
