Not that good. One of the worst ways I’v seen an author handle system/skills. MC is still a coward, timid, boy 130 chapters in. Things that should be considered skills in real life the author doesn’t consider them skills. MC still lives his life as if he doesn’t have a skill system. Has no proactivity in tryin to get more. All his skills have come unintentionally and every time he freezes in shock like he forgot he even had the system. On top of all that it’ a slow paced novel which makes the issues even more glaring. This was better off not being a system novel if this was the route he was gonna take with the MC.

he literally is not having a choice in the sect master stuff. MC says he doesn't want the position, grandfather ignores him then proceeds to tell elders his grandson will be sect master. People still wishing to compete with him for the position even though he clearly tells them he isn't interested in the position. Hell the grandfather is quite literally planning on forcing him to do it by going to the divine continent. Everytime he says he doesn't want the position he literally gets ignored. Even his wives are taking his families side in this. Mc might as wellve been a mute this arc and nothing would change. How is this not forcing him? What MC says this arc has had no bearing on anything. It gets ignored in favor of forcing MC into tge position of sect master.

Author says MC's main goal is freedom, yet is currently making him a slave to his mothers sect. Everything he says gets ignored and he is being forced into a position he doesn't want by people he doesn't like. All the while the mother and her family act like he doesn't hate them. This has gotten so much worse.

I will be severely disappointed of he accepts the position of sect master, all the while this author still chooses to ignore the problems with the mother and her family abandoning him. He said he didn't like people acting like nothing happened and that's exactly what they are doing. it's irritating af.

Everything about this story is great.... aside from the plot with the mother. Even after 1200+ chapters the situation with the mother hasn't changed. He still hates her as much as he did in the beginning, all the while the mother and grandfather act as if she didn't abandon the MC for years on end multiple times. She only appears maybe once or twice every few hundred chapters and it's the same interaction between the MC and her. Every. Single. Time. She shows up, mc is still angry at her and doesn't spare her a second glance, then she butts into to just about every conversation the MC has not realizing that the MC is ignoring her. It's getting old.

can you just tell me around what chapter? cuz if I have to keep skipping though paragraphs it would be better for me to drop it. I thought the story was great other than this. I just don't want to read through over 150-200 chapters, where whenever he's in public a couple paragraphs are wasted talking about what he looks like.

what bothers me is paragraphs being wasted on them talking about what he looks like. it's the same as people constantly praising the MC in other novels just reversed. it's a waste of words.

I know there's a reason. I was just wondering cuz he wrote the cure down and now like 40 chapters later still nothing has come of it.

does MC ever get skinny or is he fat the entire time?

when does he get skinny. it's kinda annoying whenever he's in public and words are used up by describing the bystanders talking about his weight and looks.

System tells Mc he needs to focus on his mental problems then Mc completely ignores system saying physicals are the only things he needs. Gets told he won't play his first pro game, gets so mad he literally starts having an inner monolog about how he would fight anybody who talked to him because of how mad he was bc he wouldn't play. This immediately dropped the Mc down a few points for me. After chapter 100 the Mc starts acting like he's very entitled which is very off-putting bc he was actually likable before that. He straight up argued with the coach thinking he was the best on team, coach definitely should've canned his ass after that.
