Oh please, she waited until the poor woman was already beaten to step in and save her...if she was going to save her anyway why not do so immediately? Also wth is with the people in this novel? is there no law? no police? no employee in the store calling the security to protect their colleague and customers? In what world do they just stand and watch? Is the author naïve or is the world author's creating not the same one we're living in?
Honestly, I had great expectations of this novel, but from the first chapter it was pretty obvious it is subpar. Author seems to have attention span and writing ability of a 10year old. While idea is good, flow of the story is all over the place, author jumps from one train of thought to another without proper bridge, all characters no matter the age seem to have a brain of a chicken and rich is made to be the same as super smart/violent/hot. If none of that strikes you as irritating, how about absurdities such as: Dog was stabbed THROUGH THE NECK but sure is still alive; then there's the fight IN THE MIDDLE OF A BANQUET but nobody notices nor does anything about it; the little spoiled rich girl had her wrist broken but not a single tear or a scream is heard; and those are just the first few chapters! Now, translation is pretty decent except for the fact that Middle school mentioned in the novel should be Hight school, because middle school is for kids up to the age of 14, and our protagonist is 18... Anyways, I do not recommend reading this novel. If you're like me and can't stop yourself from reading these kind of overused plots, try something else, there are those better than this, and that's saying something... p.s. Does anybody else find it annoying that 'cool' people have to heave their hands in the pant pockets while walking? Because I've tried it and it's super awkward to walk like that..
It wasn't the first but second time... She rode Ji when escaping from the beastmen that Mu Xuanrue, or what's his name, led her to....
Thanks so much for comprehensive response :) I was more curious about the whole society's view gender equality (or lack of it) in the story setting than their personal feelings. While I can't deduce that answer from your response, from your explanation I see there's no "she's awesome but they're better" and I quite like the interaction you've written about, so I'll definitely give it a try! Thanks again! :D
I have a question if you could please answer me so that I can decide whether to read this or not :D In regular harem novels, there is one man with multiple wives and basically always it's the man that is the head of the family, and superior to the wives (what he says goes, the wives have no status without him). Now, the reverse-harem novels I came across, there's one woman with multiple husbands but instead of her being the dominant in the relationship, it's still one or more husbands that lay the law, and woman is still the submissive one without identity nor rights without 'her' men and is still considered lower in status than them. Is this novel the same? Is FL still of lower status in society and her home than MLs? Thanks in advance :D
This is getting more and more ridiculous - is she mute? a doll that can be ordered around? a drone? is she hypnotized? because I see no other reason as to why she would allow herself to be controlled so pfft
