A genuinely fine story with a good translation, an interesting cast of characters, refreshing comedy, an interesting world and a story that has a lot of room for development. I don't normally review a lot of things I read, but I really want this one to be picked, so...

I think people can contribute faith points without being believers.

It's quite good. The worst reviews were left by people who were turned away by the synopsis and the mention of harems, but there is no sign of that coming anytime in the near future yet. Not the best, not the worst. Star rating was inflated for the trial read status, I would probably give it an actual rating of 3.7 or something around that range had it been out.

I guess 'without evidence' doesn't account for evidence you give them yourself outright.

He's emotional.

I don't think this is a slice of life, nor do I think it's any kind of power fantasy story. It just feels good to read; it's amusing at times, cats are present, it's very tranquil, and it feels nice to just read about a normal, average existence, especially considering what's going on around the world right now. It feels less like a story and more like a detached view on a completely normal and average world. I love Nocturne already, though what seems to be the FL seems kind of tropish to me. The story is slow, calm and completely normal; there is no conflict, little drive and ambition and makes me feel like I'm just popping into a world to admire the scenery. It's a great story, and I sincerely hope it gets picked up because I think I could use some normalcy in my life right now.

Well, historically, conscripts would be either branded as criminals or executed outright. perhaps that's why very few people would reject conscription back then. Even now, you'd need a valid reason to object to a conscription. In this world, I'd imagine they have a similar system.

I really wanted to like this. I really did. I powered through the propaganda for the first dozen chapters and then I resorted to substituting out China with a fictional country name. Nothing worked. The story in itself is great, with a fine premise, interesting plot and a great cheat. The world is built very well from what I've seen so far, and in any other story, this would be enough for a 5 star. But not here. Almost every single chapter is has an entire few sentences dedicated to praising China in some way. The haphazardly added in propaganda shatters the flow of the story, breaks the immersion over it's massive iron knee and makes the story feel more like propaganda than most propaganda I've seen. It is actually ridiculous to the point of being a fundamental, unfixable problem. I can't do it. I tried to read it like this story tried to convince me that China is actually heaven, and both cases ended in failure. Really, I can't. this hurts me

Interestingly enough, if you pronounce 'sigou' a certain way, it can mean 'dead dog'.

Old Lin Yao confessed --> got rejected --> transmigration occurred --> new Lin Yao doesn't want to talk with old Lin Yao's friends --> makes up excuse and says that it is because of his failed confession that he doesn't want to talk with them --> leaves the city --> Zhang Heng tells her that he left the city because he was depressed.

Oh my f*cking god. Finally, a story where minor plot elements actually have an effect on the world. It has been insultingly long since I last read a story where a minor thing like there being all kinds of trees actually changes the world. Even if it doesn't change the story and this is never mentioned again, I will be satisfied.
