couple is 2 so couple of degrees below Celsius is -2 Celsius.very clear.also for those of us who don't use Celsiusthat would be roughly 28 degrees fahrenheit.which is... a bit nipply but not too bad

"It's not that cold here." Ketis muttered and reversed the setting of her suit, causing her helmet to retract again. "It's only a couple of degrees below Celsius here."

if I remember correctly when he was racing through the system about all the neurolink type setups one was about exobeast/human connection and not just beast type.another was a 2, 3 and 4 nuerolink cockpit setup

That phrase triggered Ves a bit. Over the preceding days, Ves tried to process the existence of exobeasts capable of interfacing with the human mind. Was this a potential direction for development?

disregard this. was using a tablet and half this chapter was all garbled and screwy.

Right now, the Vandals prioritized the search for the Gorgon's Gaze, the Beggar's Bounty and the Linnever Swan.

the mech designer question was answered 2 chapters ago. specifically it's a designer from the angel's wing foundation which is a huge black market conglomerate that spans a universe or 2 worth of galaxies.

"Who are my opponents? Is their mech pilot as skilled as Acolyte Gien? Is the mech designer who's assigned to work on the opposition's mech from the frontier or from civilized space?"

maybe the "system" is one of the elusive scrolls.

The System! From his father's message, the System originally belonged to the Compact! Though Ves had no idea why such a wondrous program was related to a secret organization that largely dealt with biology rather than machines, he had no cause to doubt his father's words.

Ves, got kidnapped by a crazed doctor on Groening IV, who played surgeon simulator on him and replaced his heart with a so called "Jutland" organ. which if I'm remembering correctly was meant to replace his heart even though it was a kind of nanite-type attachment. he's thusly a (detestable) hybrid, and very different. able to stay awake and continue without much food or sustenance for upwards of a week.

While Ves never had to worry about infections after his ordeal at Groening IV, the same couldn't be said to the rest. Even the Swordmaidens for all their genetic manipulation became prone to new alien diseases that ordinarily passed harmlessly through human bodies.

and this is when the ball drops about the acting CEO ves placed in charge

Fortunately, a lot of commerce took place in Mancroft. The space station hosted several sector-wide bank branches. As long as he paid a personal visit and verified his identity, it wouldn't be difficult to momentarily unlock his accounts.

not only did ves expect this... he counteroffered saying what happens f he abjectly refuses... he knew it was likely. more than that. it's perfectly ironic because VES himself is that level of crazy obsessed over projects. this back to the power crystal, a key component, to the Crystal Lord laser rifle mech he made prior to this whole biblical style arc that seems to never end. he shut himself in his bunker for 14 days and nearly missed his deployment because he HAD to finish his project.

Ves didn't expect the Skull Architect to be so abrasive, but perhaps that came with the territory of being one of the few prominent mech designers in the Faris Star Region.

    ...if regulators hadn't* reined in...

From the brink of success, to the brink of annihilation, many humans who lived today often sighed about this complex time in history. What would have happened if regulators reined in the exobiologists and geneticists? Would humanity end up as the only space-faring species in the galaxy if they hadn't turned their genocidal instincts inwards?

also a good thing he's not (technically) human with his Jutland organ

Every single attempt was like designing a variant. Even if he was a pretty good mech designer, designing that many variants in the span of a month was inhuman!

if that's the case what about the novels that have over 1000 chapters and yet still only have up to the first 50 chapters free? is that dependant on the author?

yet another phrase that is incorrectly used. the full saying is: "A jack of all trades is a master of none; however oftentimes better useful than a master of one." why do so many writers do this?

However, a jack of all trades was a master of none. Compared to the dedicated rifleman mechs of the Caged, the Masters of Combat fell short in both power and accuracy. The Nyven Skrats also needed to conserve their energy levels, so they didn't fire as frequently as they should.

not like ves is any different using the unconscious body of a comrade only barely introduced as a "meat shield" then, with a half hearted apology, carelessly lobbed him off like a sack of rotten potatoes

Ves was relieved that Captain Orfan possessed a conscience, though she easily absolved herself of any guilt by pushing the responsibility to the other groups.

for the sake of the inevitable plot armour that is going to be needed. I'm callijg it right now. the vandals get their slice of the life-prolongment pie and after some arguing and probably 4 chapters of disagreements eventually give it to that bastard of an expert pilot they have with them so that he can shut up about it not having been initially offered to him. at which point he kicks some last minute fantasy a**

Once a faction became a winner, the incentive to keep the Megalodon a secret disappeared. If nobody took any precautions, the entire star sector might learn the truth!

it's been talked about enough about how ship sized mechs would e a game changer.... I'd the x factor has been around since the dawn of mechs. which according to the first mech pilot in the larkinson line had a very decent spark .. then it stands to reason that this cfa capital ship is/was likely a mech/ship hybrid if not something more like a "living" ship/mech hybrid. akin to those creatures on Groning IV
