In the kingdom, the royal family wields the most power, followed by House Whiteguard and House Maxamus. I'm not sure which chapter it was, but I explained that the rumors started after the situation with Earl Kist, and Earl Kist was working for House Whiteguard, and the person who had outed the Earl is now working for Duke Maxamus. So one could imagine where the rumors originated from. As for why the MC didn't do anything for the past three years, he was focused on training himself and his aide.

As an author, both Olivia and Cas are my favorite female characters. At first, it was Liz and Cas, but then I introduced Olivia, and Liz got booted out. However, I do feel bad for Liz.

I've seen girls who were best friends kiss each other on the lips (No they were not dating.) I've seen kids kiss their parents on the lips (Which I understand, but I find it unsettling) I guess it's about perception, and how one views the displays of affection.
