[Host no longer in world of Origin]

[Establishing connection with new world]

[SYSTEM ONLINE!]

I could only stare in disbelief at the floating blue screen as messages kept appearing and disappearing.

Today was definitely looking to be the craziest day of my life as the world seemed intent on giving me one surprise after another.

I wanted to immediately check this system and find out what it could do but stopped myself. This was not the time nor the place. I thought as I looked towards some of the cameras in the library.

Getting up I acted as usual and quietly turned off the computer as I put away all the books I had. I didn't want to leave any evidence of me having any powers.

The organizations in this world could easily access those cameras and look back to today. I already took the risk to read these kinds of books in a public space but it was one that needed to be done quickly. This system however can wait till I get home.

After I was done I quickly made my way home which wasn't too difficult even if the area was unfamiliar. I had already prepared myself by making some mental markers along the way.

Alright let's see what this system can do "System, are you there?" I asked in an eager tone

So it's real and I really am not seeing things! Now it's time to find out if I have a useful system or not.

I used to spend most of my time reading fanfics or Manhwas that had systems and they can come in quite a variety. Some are so OP that the MC faces no challenge and the book becomes a wish-fulfillment story. While others can be helpful in unique ways without being too OP.

Well, there are also those pervert systems but I hope I don't get one of those. I still have my dignity after all.

Sigh please be a helpful or OP system! Now it's time for the moment of truth.

"System introduce yourself and explain your purpose"

[I am the "Technological Resource System" and my directive is to aid the Host in improving through Technological Advancements]

A Resource system? Interesting I never did read too many of those but from what I remember it should be plenty useful.

"A resource system you say? So does that mean I can get technology from you?" If so then this is very good and I also wouldn't need to worry too much about money.

[Yes and No Host]

Yes and no? Well, I should just let it explain its functions before I begin asking a bunch of questions.

"I see alright then, can you explain your functions to me?"

[Yes Host]

[My main function is the ability to gather technological knowledge spread throughout the multiverse]

[That knowledge is then stored for the Host to purchase]

"Purchase so you work as a shop then and also you mentioned knowledge specifically. Is that why you said yes and no to my earlier question?" I asked while taking mental notes

[Indeed nothing is free after all and you are also correct I only have the knowledge nothing physical]

Hmm, a shop that sells multiversal knowledge on technology specifically. It's not the strongest system I've seen but this one is still good and can quickly grow in its worth with the more I buy. My only worry is the prices… my current conditions aren't the best so I doubt I can buy anything useful. Hopefully, it accepts something other than money or else we're gonna have some problems.

"Alright system, is there anything else I should know?"

[The knowledge I have is restricted to human technology and I can only access worlds you know about]

That's quite the limitation already knocking out some of the technologies I was thinking of like Kryptonian, Yautja, and Forerunner. Other than that I'm not too worried about that last restriction. As an avid movie and anime fan I already know quite a lot of useful worlds and that's not even taking books and comics into account.

"System show me something in the shop that can help make me stronger"

What is this, points? Luckily it's not money but how do I get points? For some reason, it gives me a bad filling like it's going to cause me trouble somehow, especially those more expensive options.

"Hey system what are those points and how do I get them?" I asked with a bit of hesitation.

[Points are the currency used by the system. In order to earn these points the Host has to create changes in the plot. The greater the plot the greater the amount of points]

My left eye began to twitch as I heard the system speak. Changing the plot it says… as if affecting the plot is something safe to do in this kind of world!

"System what are the criteria for earning points?" I really hope there's an easy way to earn them. I can think of a couple of ways to get involved in the story but each one has a bit of risk. I'd rather slowly gather some points and buy something to at least somewhat defend myself.

[Points can be earned from 10, 100, 500, and 1000 Points but the difficulty increases with the Points]

[A small change could be simply meeting a character which will give you 10 points]

[A medium change gets you directly involved by drawing attention to yourself earning you 100 Points]

[Drastic changes involve the host becoming significantly known and involved in various relationships between important individuals earning you 500 points]

[The fourth way could be doing something that changes the story itself to the point of being unrecognisable earning you 1000 Points]

Incredible a drastic change can immediately get me something like the T virus! For a moment I even thought about posting all my future knowledge online for the world to see while racking in points. However, that's a surefire way of getting taken away by someone like Nick Fury or even Hydra but at least I have some options and it doesn't require money.

Looking back at the screen floating in front of me I figured it was time to ask what had been bothering me this whole time. "Well, system now that we've been sort of acquainted I believe it's time that you explain why you're here and if you're the one responsible for bringing me to this world."

[Sorry host but I am also unsure as to why your here as for myself I have always been with you]

"Wait, you're not responsible for this? And what do you mean you've always been with me? Are you saying that I had you even on earth?"

[That Is correct]

"Wait hold up if you were with me on Earth then why did you activate now and not on Earth? How did you end up with me and who made you?

[I was meant to activate once you had more knowledge about other worlds through media however the situation changed and forced me to activate early]

[As for your last question that's classified]

So this system activated early because I ended up in this world. Sigh so my transmigration still doesn't have a reason.

I have a couple of theories on why I am here and most lead to one being… The One Above All. Even if he didn't bring me here he should know who or what did. The problem is meeting him and surviving.

Another question I have no answers to is the creator of the system. For all I know that could be the One Above All as well or even another being like The Presence and why would a being like that want me to change the plot? Sounds more like something an author would want.

I could keep coming up with theories all night long but it won't help me at least not now it is definitely something I'll look into later on.

My main problem is that I still know very little about this version of me. He seemed to be a high school student but I know nothing about anything else. I didn't even get his memories to help me out.

[That would be because of me. Upon entering this world I sealed your counterparts memories too not overwhelm you]

Heh, so that's why I don't know Jack but the real problem is how this system can seal memories.

"System are you able to manipulate my memories in any way or do anything that can harm me"

"Yea, your words sure do bring me confidence. Well, can you unseal these memories?"
