Foreshadowing has an elemnent of mystery for both the characters and the readers you have to think and theorize about what will happen, here he's just saying what's going to happen
Some part of them did dare to hope however, the monsters hadn't killed them and instead had dragged them away just like the others, so maybe they would manage to survive this mess somehow. After all, even if the idea of these things wanting them alive was slightly unnerving, anything was better than death...right? They'd soon be wishing that they had been given that quick and easy death, anything at all was better then what the creatures had in store for them. - Sorrias4dCommented

Alpha didn't understand, in fact she didn't need to understand, she followed, she protected and she killed, those were the only reason she existed. She would do anything for her queen, anything for her mother. Meanwhile those that had stayed behind now tried to unite together in some small attempt to fight back but their last stronghold was currently under siege. The gangs had the man power, they actually outnumbered the monstrous horde that threatened them but they were all doom from the start. The number of monsters were growing at an astounding rate and what's more was that this was a trap, a trap they no longer could escape from. - Sorrias4dCommented

There weren't all that many of them from what I could see, only six or seven but they were definitely proving more of a handful then the humans around them. I would eventually end up learning that these creatures were called razor hounds, mostly because they liked to shred their prey to pieces before eating them. Some of these creatures had apparently been domesticated by the previous colonists before they fled, the creatures were then once again taken in by the prisoners as large guard dogs. - Sorrias4dCommented

Some of the gangs blamed each other for all of this of course, killing and territorial disputes between all of them were common already and this was the perfect excuse for them to satisfy their greed and expand their borders. The growing tension was kept at bay for a while though, however it was soon made even worse when several members of different competing gangs started a massive turf war that led to the death of dozens of people on all sides. The battle as well as the deaths were of course orchestrated by a certain alien queen, although the thugs had no actual way of knowing such a thing, in fact they had no idea that they were being played and used like disposable pawns on a chessboard. - Sorrias4dCommented
Author... stop giving spoilers in your own fic, it's horrible the way you just go foward in time and then back breaks any flow this fic has, you want to show us something? Do it, but never just tell us
