Uhm... Overpowering multiple enemies is better with longer weapons so that they'll have a harder time attacking you. A dagger excells in speed; you can attack remarkably faster. Heck even a bow might be better, depending on how fast you can shoot. Of course, the weapon is most likely related to a class system, as regular.
