well kinda. if you kill in front of the examiner or attack the examiner then they can get failed... the examiner has all the power to make the rules and usually they would fail the examine under those circumstances but there isn't a rule that says they can't kill. except for the last stage. this is as far as I remember I might have made a mistake somewhere but I'm sure about the killing rule thing.

well yeah... I think its related to some sort of mythology or superstition but it's so annoying when those kinda things are used in everyday talking ( in any language but Chinese has it so so much it's much more apparent.

dragon and Phoenix refer to male and female twins in a lot of Chinese stories so I guess it's a way to refer to male and female twins
