Chapter 1-Marine hero

It was one thing to read situations about people falling prey to truck-kun and meeting some sort of ROB that gives them a couple of wishes to reincarnate or transmigrate in a world of their own choosing, but to have that situation thrust upon yourself? It was not something Yami thought possible.

"So you're telling me..." He glared seriously with his hands crossed near his chest. "That because of a mistake YOU made, I had to become the sacrificial lamb in order to fix it?"

A few feet from him stood a middle aged man, possibly the tallest person he had ever seen, who awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "...yes."

"I see... where's my compensation?" Yami's onyx eyes suddenly lightened up as a small smirk was visible on his face.

Clearing his throat, the man waved his hand as three wheels appeared simultaneously. One large wheel in the middle, and two medium sized ones at its side.

"These are the wheels of luck!" The man proudly announced, his nose sticking in the air. "You shall spin all three wheels and whatever abilities you get, are ones you will take with you to the world you will transmigrate in. Any questions?"

A silly smile was plastered across Yami's face as he stared at the wheel as if it were gold, which in truth, it was miles more valuable than gold.

"Why is the one in the middle significantly larger than the two at its right and left?"

The man walked over to the wheels and started explaining, "This big one right here, will be your main and strongest ability, hence its big size, because any ability this wheel gives are extremely strong or useful. You can think the two wheels at its side as wheels for much smaller and less powerful abilities. Capisce?"

"Understood."

"Great! Would you like to spin them all at once, or one at a time?"

Yami wasn't as nervous as he thought he would be when faced with these precious and life changing wheels. However, a brief question passed his mind right then. "You said I get to reincarnate or transmigrate right? Do I get to choose the world or is it random?"

"Hmm, the world you reincarnate too is already set, would you like to know what world it is?"

"That's so shitty, I was killed because of your negligence but I don't even get to choose a world I can reincarnate in..." He mumbled underneath his breath. "But go ahead, tell me."

"The world of pirates, more commonly known as one piece is where your set to go."

Yami sighed, and relaxed his tense body. "Well... it could have been worse." He wasn't the biggest fan of one piece, but he was glad to not reincarnate in a world like dragon ball where he could die at absolutely any given moment. 'Plus, the idea of devil fruits is pretty cool, I can't wait to get my hands on one...'

"Ah!" The man suddenly exclaimed. "I almost forgot. You have the choice to spin these three wheels and get three separate abilities, but in return, you will not be able to harness the power of devil fruits in your next life. Or... would you like to reincarnate or transmigrate now and be able to use a devil fruit?"

Just as things were starting to get good for yami, a shower of disappointment and frustration was forcefully thrown over him. 'I should have known there would be drawbacks for this, fucking shitty god.'

Putting his fingers to his chin, he began to think. "Is the timeline I will transmigrate in already set too?"

"Yes, it is. But I cannot tell you."

"Why?"

"Because I cannot." The man smiled while Yami gnashed his teeth against each other.

If he had known what timeline he would transmigrate in, he would have been able to get his hands on a powerful fruit, such as the mera mera no mi, and the goro goro no mi. Since he had a general idea of where some fruits would be, it wouldn't be too hard. But all of that would depend on what part or island in the world he would transmigrate to, which he doubted the stupid faced god would tell him.

He sighed at least three more times and gave in. 'Whatever, technically with three abilities It'd be like having three devil fruits. So if I think about it like that, I'm not really missing out on anything. I just hope I get something good.'

"Spin the wheels."

"Are you sure, you don't want to think about it some more?"

Yami just simply waved his hand and rolled his eyes, "No. I'll get what I get, if their trash abilities I'll just have to live with it."

"Haha... ha..." He nervously laughed from the death glare Yami gave him. "Well then, let's get it rolling!"

The once previous still wheels slowly began to turn. The pace started to quicken, and before long, it was going so fast to the point where a little wind began to blow Yamis long black hair.

Gradually, the wheels began to slow, until they came to a complete halt. Yami felt like he could hear the rough pounding of his heart from outside his chest as he looked on in anticipation. His slightly sweaty palms clutched at his pants.

Finally, after a few moments, words in a golden light appeared at the top of the three wheels.

[ Legendary combat techniques comprehension-Jack of all trades, master of none? Should you wish it, in all forms of combat, you can become the jack of all trades and master of all! ]

[ Regeneration-Fear of death is for the weak, continue to challenge the gates of hell as you come back stronger and stronger each time! ]

[ Demon cat transformation-Faster than any animal underwater or on land, stealth is your speciality, shadow is your element! ]

"This... are you serious?" Yami questioned, the life knocked out of all of his being. "Like, are you really serious?"

"Aha... ha... looks like your luck wasn't as great as the few others that had gotten in the same situation as you. Which shouldn't come as a surprise because those people came here with large quantities of karmic points, while you came due to a mistake I made. So, to begin with, your luck wasn't going to be very good."

"Ha ha ha ha! HA HA HA HA HA! Luck? This is great. Much more than I could ask for, especially that first ability ahahaha." Yami licked his lips like a certain jokester as he looked over the list of abilities once again.

If you were to ask the closest acquaintances to Yami what they thought about him, they would most certainly say... "A training maniac."

And that couldn't be closer to the truth, from young and up until the age of seventeen when he died, all he did was train. Whether it was boxing, kendo, lifting weights, cardio. He did whatever he could to make his body scream to stop.

However, he lacked talent.

For all of the many sports he did when growing up, he severely lacked talent and insight. What was talent without hard work? Untapped potential. But what was hard work with absolutely zero talent? A waste of time.

Now with guaranteed talent for anything combat related, Yami was determined to once again put his body through rigorous training, because this time, it wouldn't be for naught.

He thought to himself, 'Turns out dying was for the best. Now I get a chance like this, this is something I've only ever dreamed about.'

Regeneration was also a god sent ability(pun intended) to a training maniac such as himself. And although his last ability was kind of useless, he figured there was still some kind of way to make it work.

'Shadow element huh? Interesting...'

"You are satisfied?" The man asked.

Although he didn't get a super strong ability like the rinnegan, to say he wasn't satisfied with what he had was false. 'Getting an overpowered ability would have been boring anyway, at least this way it's more fun.'

"Very," Yami replied.

"Good, there's just one last thing left then. Would you like to transmigrate or reincarnate, and what appearance would you like to have?"

Once again, Yami was thrown deep into his thought. He had to think carefully about this one, as this was a once in a lifetime chance and the looks he chose would be what he looks like for the rest of his life.

"Got it." A light bulb shone dazzlingly above his head. "Transmigration, and give me the appearance of Rikuo Nuras night form."

"Granted. Any specific wear or clothes? Because if you don't, there is a possibility you will be naked."

"Hm, just give me a nice black shirt and pants, and some black ninja boots, the ones from Naruto."

"I see, now that that's settled, I should send you on your way." The man waved his hand and suddenly a portal materialized behind Yami.

Feeling a cold child, Yami turned his head and multiple arms sprung from the portal and grabbed him, forcefully reeling him in. "WAIT-"

-Foosha Village, East blue-

Yami felt a hard surface underneath him as his ruby eyes suddenly shot open. He raised his torso, took in his forestry surroundings, and grinned. "Hehehehe, ahahahaha!" Like a mad man he continue to laugh. "This is great! Turns out he wasn't lying! AHAHAHA."

"Who wasn't lying?" Hearing the sudden voice, his head slowly turned to where a large old man leisurely sat on large rock. He was tanned and broad-chested with a grey beard and a scar over his left eye.

His pupils were a piercing blue, and seemed like they could tear the skies apart. But looking a bit closer, Yami could see they were a bit reddened on the outside. 'Looks like he had been crying. A grown man like him?'

Gazing over the large old man one more time, Yami subconsciously swallowed his saliva. Because he had finally recognized who he was looking at.

"M-marine hero Garp...San?"

"That would be me. But you still haven't answered my question, kid."
