Super solid novel. Easily the best of this batch and in fact the best we've had in a while. It's about as good as 'I Just Won't Play By The Book', maybe a little better.

Solid overall with some moments that rise to legitimately being quite good and interesting. The first arc 'mystery of ascension' was very satisfying in how it developed and played out. Easily the best of all the novels offered this round, which, besides this one, are all pretty bad in my opinion.

I thought you did a terrific job with Legendary Mechanic and I hope this book gets picked and you're the translator for it.

The second best trial read this month after Protect Our Chief. It's a bit long winded sometimes but it's still easily one of the best books released in several months. Recommended.

This is the best new webnovel qidian has released since "I Just Won't Play By The Book" and, in my opinion, is in fact quite superior to that novel. It's very gratifying to be offered a genuinely good book to read after what seems like many trial area refreshes in a row that had nothing but terrible novels. We can only hope it gets picked.

If anyone's curious, this is the only webnovel in this batch of releases that's worth reading. The game one has an MC that's too annoying and the Ring story's protagonist is unbearably stupid. None of the rest are even worth mentioning.

Do you know what the circumstances were of the author dropping it? I know the Black Iron's Glory guy had to drop his story like nine hundred chapters in because the chinese censors forced him to. What happened here?

Very solid book, one of the best currently running in my opinion. It has nationalism but it's the kind I don't mind, the nationalism style is 'China is great!' instead of 'China is great, all other countries are terrible!', which is fine by me. I don't mind patriotism. Just wondering why it was dropped.

This is the only truly good webnovel that's currently being translated by qidian. It's one tier down from stuff like Lord Of The Mysteries and Omniscient Reader but way above anything running on the site at the moment, including stuff like Divine Tree, Earthlings Are Insane, and maybe even 48 Hours.

This and Super Zombie Factory are the only decent novels out of this batch of trial reads just fyi. 14O characters 140 characters 140 characters 140 characters.

I realize the premise sounds tremendously stupid but this is actually the first decent new novel Qidian has put into trial reads in quite a while. Hopefully it gets picked. Anybody reading this should give it a chance, it's really not bad. Decent sense of progession, no stupid comedy and the main character is a good, normal guy.

Edit: if you want a good example of how bad the translation can get, check out chapter 492. It's barely above MTL in that one.

Bad translation. The novel, when taken on its own strength alone, is basically good enough to read for someone with proper standards, but the bad translation pulls it down beneath that line. The weirdest thing is that at first blush the translation doesn't really appear to be poor, but the more you read, you get a sense that it's just not very satisfying: sentences are not plainly wrong that ofte, but they're written in a confusing way that makes it much more of a chore than it has to be to read. Beyond that, there's also more plain errors that let you know it's ESL: accesories are called 'visual equipment', aggro is called 'violence', grinding is called 'training', etc. I just wish the translation was better because the book is decent enough.
