He didn't want for Rome to experience losing Julie because of the curse that they carry, the reason why he left Lilian. Donovan is not bad as we thought, he actually cares about them. Why else would he leave the people he wanted, it's because he didn't want to harm them. I don't think Rome curses is effective to Julie since she is part dead(corvin), you can't kill dead people right? And maybe Julie is the cure to the curse😁
