I never expect a perfect character. My review was because the female character was portrayed in such a way that she came as dull rather than “humble, low-key”. I believed that a “humble, low-key” person can be somewhat interesting as well. My impression is that the plot is different and can be very interesting. To me if only this female character is a bit more interesting than being so insipid.

Initially I was very excited to read this book. The storyline began very differently from the other novels. But as I read on, the female character, Huang Ying Yue, slowly came across as boring and insipid. I know that the author tried to portray her as a “humble and sincere” person but the description “dull eyes”, and how she kept trying to be so “low-keyed”, etc. adds to the boring and insipid feeling that I get about this character, so much so that I skimmed through the chapters. It’s a pity because this plot is so different and it can be so exciting and interesting.

How one jumped onto the shoulder and snuggled on the legs? Do you mean to say ”snuggled” against the neck?

I agreed. When we have to start paying for this novel, the translation did go downhill - how did Dr Chen become Dr Smith??? If you’re going to collect money from us, at least review your work or get an editor!
