The first chapter can be skipped completely without much of a problem. It is the guideline for character creation in the story. If you do read it, feel free to get some dice, roll a character using the guidelines, and see if a character like yours appears later. The character building took inspiration from Jump Chain fics but has my own personal interpretation.

The original price for the elements was three hundred thousand points but after getting the thunder element alex didn't realize that the price doubled. this stung to see as it meant he was going to struggle with gathering enough points to have both elements not to mention have them be useable by the time the fifth fleet arrived. this meant he needed to scrap the all element plan for now and pick a different direction to grow in. this lead to him having a headache at how many choices he had in total. - mosaicc1yrCommented
