This. My friends see me as the responsible and dependable one, but whenever im with my family, my brain just shuts off in fear of doing the wrong thing. I just blindly listen to them and never think for myself, especially when im with my brother. It doesnt matter if i get the job done, he'll get mad at the fact that i didnt do it his way (which he never really tells me how exactly to do stuff his way)

It didnt help that i was always pretty smart. Consistent honors even when i never studied. That just gave them a reason to get mad at me more because i wasnt studying. It also didbt help that my mother is always very manipulative with her words
